The Naval Sub Unit at Manipal Jnanasudha trains cadets of Classes XI and XII from both the Manipal and Udupi Jnanasudha campuses for the NCC ‘B’ Certificate examination, building discipline, seamanship and leadership alongside their academics and rigorous competitive examination training.

80th Independence Day Celebration

Manipal JnanaSudha PU College and Manipal JnanaSudha English Medium High School, Vidya Nagar, proudly celebrated India’s 80th Independence Day on 15th August 2026 at Vidya Nagar Greens. The celebration brought together students, faculty, NCC cadets and the school community in a spirit of patriotism and national pride. A special highlight was the impressive NCC formation, where cadets created an anchor on the school grounds, showcasing their discipline, coordination, teamwork and dedication. The celebration was graced by Baikady Suprasad Shetty, BBM, LLB, DEM, Advocate, Udupi, as the Guest of Honour. The event reminded everyone that freedom comes with the responsibility to contribute positively to our nation and society.

Har Ghar Tiranga Rally-2026

Har Ghar Tiranga – NCC Jatha As part of the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign, the NCC Cadets actively participated in a patriotic Jatha (Rally) from Canara Bank Main Branch, Manipal to Tiger Circle, Manipal. The rally witnessed enthusiastic participation from the cadets, who proudly carried the Tricolour and spread the message of patriotism, unity, and respect for our National Flag. The cadets maintained discipline and showcased the spirit of NCC throughout the rally. The event was a proud moment that reflected the dedication and commitment of the NCC towards the nation.

Selection of New Batch of Cadets (Class of 2028)

Enrollment for the incoming training cycle successfully concluded with 50 cadets selected. The new batch establishes a balanced cohort comprising 26 Senior Division (SD) and 24 Senior Wing (SW) cadets ready to embark on their training path.

CATC 2026 at NITK Surathkal

Cadets of Manipal Jnanasudha from the 6 Kar Naval Unit joined approximately 555 NCC cadets at the NITK Surathkal campus for the official commencement of the 10 day Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC MLORE-11), uniting nine different wings and battalions under the NCC Group Headquarters, Mangaluru. The 10-day camp successfully concluded following intensive training in drills, weapon handling and a specialized cyber safety module by NITK Staff. The collaborative training provided 6 Kar Naval Unit cadets with critical physical fitness and safety skills alongside multiple wings from the Mangaluru Group.
